13–15 May 2016: Proschim, Germany
Over 4000 people shut down one of Europe’s largest lignite coal mines for over 48 hours. Coal diggers, trains and power plants — disrupted by people power. It’s up to us to keep it in the ground.
Sweden: Keep it in the ground
Stand with the thousands of people who shut down Vattenfall’s operations in Germany and send a message to the Swedish government.
Call on Sweden to keep its climate promises and its coal reserves in the ground – forever. Sweden must honour its responsibility to Vattenfall workers by stopping the sale to EPH and ensuring a just transition to sustainable jobs.
Thanks for signing! Now can you show your support for everyone in the lignite mines right now and send a message of support on social media using the hashtag #BreakFree2016? We're also plotting bold ways to get this message across to the Swedish government before the decision is made. Get in touch with louise (at) 350.org if you have ideas or would like to get involved with the group in Sweden coordinating this.
